1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using Gigz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the service.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the Gigz crypto-native freelance marketplace
- "Client" refers to users who post gigs and hire freelancers
- "Freelancer" refers to users who provide services
- "Escrow Wallet" refers to the secure Solana wallet that holds funds during a transaction
- "Escrow" refers to the system of holding funds in a secure wallet until transaction completion
3. Use of Platform
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use Gigz. By using the platform, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your wallet and private keys
- All activities that occur under your account
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up-to-date
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Services and Fees
Platform Fees
Gigz charges a service fee on successful transactions. Current fee structure:
- 5% fee on completed transactions
- No fees for posting gigs or creating profiles
- Gas fees are the responsibility of the user
Payment Terms
All payments are processed through secure escrow wallets on the Solana blockchain. Funds are held in escrow until work is completed and approved by the client.
5. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Submit false, inaccurate, or misleading information
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive practices
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Attempt to manipulate the platform or escrow system
- Use the platform for money laundering or illegal activities
6. Intellectual Property
Important
Freelancers retain ownership of their work until payment is completed and rights are explicitly transferred as agreed upon in the gig terms.
Users are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to any content they upload or share on the platform. By posting content, you grant Gigz a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content as necessary for platform operation.
7. Dispute Resolution
Disputes between users should first be resolved through direct communication via the platform's messaging system. If unable to reach a resolution, parties may contact our support team on X (@gigzcrypto) for assistance. We will review cases on an individual basis and work toward a fair outcome.
8. Limitation of Liability
Disclaimer
Gigz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Loss of funds due to user error or wallet compromise
- Escrow system issues or blockchain network disruptions
- Quality of work or services provided by users
- Disputes between clients and freelancers
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gigz and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the platform for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Users may terminate their account at any time, subject to completing any outstanding transactions.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Gigz is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
